Leadership Nevada is committed to fulfilling the research mission
of the Women's Research Institute of Nevada. In 2004 we created
a survey designed to assess student levels pre- and post-NEW Leadership
Nevada. Students complete a survey at the end of the six-day
summer institute and follow-up surveys at 6-, 12-, 24-, and 36-month
intervals. We are in the process of analyzing the data and
hope to publish on our original findings on the civic engagement
of women in Nevada. Information from the findings is being used
to update and revise the program. Research from the literature
on women and leadership and civic engagement is also being used
to develop a course on women and leadership. Please check
often for updates on our ongoing program evaluation and our proposed
leadership course.
