Las Vegas Women Oral History Project

Created to address the scarcity of historical research on women in the state, this project's oral historians have interviewed more than 50 Nevada women whose lives and work bring an essential perspective to the story of Nevada.

Our Las Vegas Women Oral History project continues to be one of the largest and most recognized of all our initiatives. The oral histories are categorized in one of the following three series:

1. Series I: Women in Gaming and Entertainment (GE)
2. Series II: Community Builders (CB)
3. Series III: Pioneers (P)

Once completed, the hard-bound oral histories are available for use in the Special Collections Department of the Lied Library at the University of Nevada Las Vegas
